Errol Spence will defend his IBF welterweight title against Mikey Garcia in Texas on Saturday night in a clash between two of boxing’s current best.

Garcia faces a mammoth task as he looks to climb two weight divisions in his bid to become a multi-world champion in five weight divisions, but in Spence he faces a difficult task.

Spence won the IBF title when he defeated Kell Brook in Sheffield via knockout in his 22nd fight and will be making the third defence of his title when he comes up against fellow undefeated opponent Garcia.

Despite being the more inexperienced fighter, Spence comes in as the favourite to take his strap home. Here’s everything you need to know from the undercard to the ring walk time.

When and where is the fight?

The pair will put their unbeaten records on the line this Saturday night, 16 March, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas – so if you’re watching it from the UK, it’s going to be a late one for you.

What time will the main event ring walks be?

At the earliest, 4am – but probably more likely to be around 5am. It’s in Texas so the time difference is pretty big but with a fight of this magnitude, it’ll be worth it. The undercard fights get underway from around 1am so there’ll be plenty of action to keep you occupied while you wait for the big one.

What TV channel will it be on?

This is where you’ll start to smile. A fight between two of the pound-for-pound kings is being shown live on ITV4 for free. Spence v Garcia can be watched for free! As can a number of undercard fights, with the broadcast getting underway at 1am. What a treat for the British public.

Spence’s IBF welterweight title is the only belt up for grabs on Saturday, with Garcia looking to become a five-weight world champion. The current champion boasts a perfect record of 24 fights, 24 wins, with 21 by knockout. Garcia also comes into this one with a perfect professional career to date, 39 fights, 39 victories, with 30 by way of KO.
