CHRIS PYATT took less than a round to retain his World Boxing Organisation middleweight title at Brentwood last night. The 30-year-old from Leicester knocked out South Africa's Mark Cameron with two rights to the head.
The first stopped the challenger in his tracks, giving Pyatt, in his 45th professional fight, time to measure the second, seconds from the end of what had been a quiet opener. Cameron never looked like beating the count.
Pyatt, six years older than the challenger, who had started brightly enough by throwing the left jab and right cross, is now lined up to face his stablemate Steve Collins in a big-money match in April.
