Stockbroker claims PM's office demanded bribe

The Indian stockbroker Harshad Mehta arrives to give evidence to a parliamentary committee in New Delhi investigating a pounds 847m share-price fixing scandal. Mr Mehta, who is free on bail, has alleged that he paid a bribe of pounds 212,000 to the Prime Minister, Narasimha Rao.
