French authorities are reportedly investigating whether Hayat Boumeddiene, the wife of jihadi gunman Amedy Coulibaby who took 17 people hostage in Paris, is the woman in a new Isis video entitled “Blow up France 2”.

The video was reportedly released on Tuesday and shows Isis fighters calling for new attacks on France while praising the Paris attacks. A woman is seen in camouflage clothing, holding a weapon and stood next to the jihadi speaker.

CNN reports that a source close to the investigation into the latest video from French-speaking Isis (also known as Islamic State) fighters, entitled “Blow up France 2”, said: “French authorities are investigating the possibility this woman could be Hayat Boumeddiene.”

Boudeddiene’s husband Coulibaly was killed in a hail of police gunfire after he took 17 people hostage in a kosher supermarket in Paris on 9 January. Four of the hostages were killed and authorities are understood to still be searching for Boumeddiene, who is believed to be in Syria.
