Amateur footage of the incident, which is reported to have taken place in the city of Afula, was posted on social media.
An Israeli military spokesperson said a Palestinian woman attempted to stab an Israeli security guard, Ma'an News reports.
Local media reported she had been suffered "moderate" injuries during the shooting while the Israel Defence Forces said she had been "neutralised".
In the video, Israeli police can be heard shouting at the woman before she is shot multiple times. She then drops to the ground.
The incident comes amid escalating unrest in Israel and the West Bank.
The head of Hamas' Gaza branch reportedly called for a new intifada, or uprising.
Afula was also the scene of another stabbing attack against an Israeli soldier yesterday afternoon. The soldier was moderately wounded and his attacker apprehended by police, the Times of Israel reports.
