An explosion inside one of the Giza pyramids injured two workers yesterday. Police detained 35 people for questioning, Reuter reports from Cairo.

There were conflicting versions of what caused the blast inside the burial chamber. Security sources said a small bomb had exploded, but Interior Ministry officials said materials used to clean stonework were ignited by an electrical short circuit.
