Fighting appeared to intensify around Sarajevo yesterday and Croatian forces turned to blowing up abandoned trenches in a new tactic against their Muslim foes in central Bosnia, Reuter reports form Sarajevo. Retreating Bosnian Croat Defence Council (HVO) troops apparently blew up abandoned positions on Thursday with a booby trap set to go off when the trenches were occupied by Muslim soldiers.
