A sales agent who was allegedly invited to the home of a bank clerk for a sex act later cut off his head and cooked it, a court has heard.

Prosecutors in Berlin, Germany, are demanding that the unnamed 45-year-old be sentenced to six years and nine months for manslaughter.

According to The Local, the defence claims that the deceased had orchestrated the meeting, in Marienfelde, south-west Berlin, in January 2012, to fulfil his sexual needs.

They say that the 37-year-old victim had asked to be tied to the bed with tape covering his mouth and nose. He later died of suffocation or an overdose of painkillers, prosecutors say.

The sales agent is then alleged to have cut up the man’s body before cooking his head.

He was previously convicted to three years and three months in jail for assault resulting in death, but this sentence was lifted last year by officials.

The accused’s defence are calling for an acquittal or for a charge of bodily harm resulting in death to be upheld.

The case, which is being held in the Berlin Regional Court, will reconvene to accounce the judgement on 26 June.
