One of Sarajevo's leading children's doctors was among four people killed in a mortar attack on the city yesterday, Reuter reports from Sarajevo. Dr Galib Eleho, a paediatrician well known for his work with Unicef, was killed as he greeted a Unicef truck delivering milk.
International mediators scrapped plans to reconvene a meeting of Bosnia's three warring parties in Greece this weekend after talks with Serbian leaders in Belgrade yesterday, their spokesman said. Lord Owen and Thorvald Stoltenberg are to try for another round of talks in the week beginning 20 December.
