Aden - Salvos of northern Yemeni rockets and missiles slammed into Aden killing and wounding at least 35 civilians before the north made a new ceasefire offer. The shelling stopped at around 7pm and shortly afterwards Sanaa television announced a ceasefire starting at midnight. The announcement said French and US military attaches in Sanaa would supervise the ceasefire until the rest of the members of a pre-war joint military commission arrived. Reuter
