Five sailors have been rescued from sea after the container liner they were on sank earlier this morning.

The container was the near the waters of Shanghai in the East China sea when it capsized due to high winds. A helicopter rescued the five men from a lifeboat, two of sailors suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

Video footage was captured of the rescue and the men all seem to be fine if somewhat disorientated by the incident.

Six other sailors were taken to safety when a nearby ship picked them up. the liner was carrying 14 sailors in total when it sank and four sailors are still missing.
