The son of the disgraced Chinese politician Bo Xilai has spoken out in defence of his father, who was banished from the ruling Communist Party and faces criminal charges in relation to corruption and abuse of power.
Bo Guagua, a graduate of Harvard University, said he did not believe the allegations against his father – which include covering up the murder of the British businessman Neil Heywood. "They contradict everything I have come to know about him," he said.
