Your support makes all the difference.A British man accused of abusing children as young as 18-months-old has been arrested in Thailand after more than 10 years on the run.
Charles David Taylor, 66, from Leicestershire, fled the UK after he was arrested in 1998 and charged with 35 counts of child molestation and dissemination of child pornography.
The Thai Immigration Bureau said he was suspected of abusing children aged between 18 months and 12-years-old and selling child pornography around the world.
British police found video footage of child sex abuse at his home as well as more than 10,000 pornographic photographs of children on his computer, including images of torture and bestiality.
Taylor was arrested on Sunday in the north eastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima. Thai authorities suspect he continued to abuse children and sell child pornography over the internet after he left the UK.
A Home Office spokesman said: "We have requested his extradition on charges of making indecent images of children.
"We understand he has been arrested in Thailand. He will now face extradition proceedings there.
"We cannot comment on the detail of the case."
Taylor was arrested at a local post office, where he rented a mail box, following co-operation between Thai and British investigators, the immigration bureau said.
A computer, DVDs of child porn and explicit photos of Thai children were seized from his apartment, the bureau said.
A Thai court issued a warrant for his arrest and extradition in 2001 after a request from British authorities.
