New pictures of the aftermath of the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing have emerged 23 years after soldiers and tanks were ordered to remove protestors.
In one, troops can be seen apparently burning the remnants of an encampment set up by protesters. A Chinese blogger called Zuola, now living in Taiwan, was shown them when talking on a train with the wife of a former soldier who had taken them.
The Chinese authorities are still reluctant to admit the events of 4 June 1989, and within minutes of being posted online, they were deleted.
