Vinay Sharma was rushed to a hospital in New Delhi with chest injuries after he was “beaten up and thrashed” by other inmates, his lawyer, AP Singh told AFP.
Sharma is one of four men and a teenager on trial for the fatal gang rape, robbery and murder of a student on a Delhi bus in December.
