The state of Arkansas put to death two convicted murderers on Wednesday, its first imposition of capital punishment since Jim Guy Tucker succeeded Bill Clinton as governor, Reuter reports from Varner. Jonas Hoten Whitmore and Edward Charles Pickens were given lethal injections.
