United Airlines sends rapper's dog to wrong city during a layover
ScHoolboy Q once said in a song 'only thing I got is my girl and my dogs'
United Airlines, facing public relations disasters, has once again made headlines by sending rapper ScHoolboy Q's dog to the wrong city during a layover.
In his song "Take The Pain Away" ScHoolboy Q - whose given name is Quincy Matthew Hanley - said "only thing I got is my girl and my dogs".
He was referring to his French Bulldog puppy named Yeeerndamean.
The pair were travelling from Missouri to Burbank, California on 14 July.
During a layover in Denver, Colorado United switched the dog with another passenger's puppy and sent Yeeerndamean ended up in Chicago.
The rapper took to Twitter to express frustration with the airline once he deplaned in Burbank and realised his dog was not on the second flight with him:
ScHoolboy Q texted CNN that he "plan[s] on suing," adding "my little dog been moving around since the A.M."
United Airlines told CNN that they "reached out to our customer and sincerely apologise for this mistake and are providing a refund. Pets are part of our customers' family, and their safety and wellbeing is of the upmost importance to us."
In April, the airline came under fire for video of flight attendants and airport police violently dragging a man off an overbooked flight. A month later, a large rabbit - about to set a world record for side - died during a flight from the UK.
