Dominyk Antonio Alfonseca stole from the Virginia Beach branch of the TowneBank on Monday.
However, instead of doing what most criminals would do and keep a low profile, Alfonseca hit Instagram while he was still in the bank and posted a video of the cashier handing over the cash.
Alfonseca posted two videos of the cashier putting the wads of notes into his sports bag and a picture of the note he handed to the cashier before she gave him the money on Monday afternoon.

The note read: “I need 150,000 bands right now!! Please police take 3 to 4 minutes to get here, I would appreciate if you ring the alarm a minute after I am gone ... . Make sure the money doesn't BLOW UP ON MY WAY OUT :)”
In total, the 23-year-old made off with $150,000 but was caught within 20 minutes of leaving the bank after police were made aware of the video on the social media site.
Alfonseca was taken into custody by police but told them that he had “asked for permission for the money” and felt he was “being charged for no reason.”
He said: “A robbery is demanding and taking the money or whatever, I didn’t do that, I just asked for it”
Alfonseca believes that the police will understand this and is sure said that even when he was being arrested the policeman told him that “they were just doing their jobs.”
Self-confessed Instagram addict Alfonseca, says he is a rapper and moved back to Virginia Beach just two weeks ago.
When asked whether the robbery was just a stunt to enhance his profile, Alfonseca did admit that the robbery might mean his Instagram gets a lot of exposure but said there were a lot of other things on his Instagram that could get exposure too.
