This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

In scenes resembling a Hollywood movie, a group of gunmen have stormed a hospital in Colombia to break out a prisoner who was being treated there.

According to local media, the men freed Alexander Urrego, who was at the hospital in Bogota for a check-up. Urrego was reportedly convicted and jailed for his part in a gangland killing back in 2011.

CCTV footage shows patients and visitors cowering to the floor as the masked men fire guns in the hospital foyer.

According to Colombian media four men have been arrested and a reward is being offered for the escaped prisoner.
