Pennsylvania transport police has released video of a man robbed and tasered on a railway platform before he was pushed onto the train tracks.

Authorities say a male passenger fell asleep on a westbound train towards 69th Street Terminal.

CCTV footage shows two suspects, a male and female, approaching the sleeping passenger and snatching his bag at Millbourne Station.

The passenger woke up and chased the pair down the platform before they started to attack him.

During the struggle, the footage shows one of the suspects using a Taser which causes the victim to fall backwards.

The other suspect then pushes the victim, forcing him onto the train track.

Authorities say the victim was able to make his way off the tracks and receive medical attention.
