Denise D'Courtenay's decomposing body was discovered in bushes near a town on the Caribbean country's north coast on Monday, according to the Latin American Herald Tribune.
The 60-year-old former model and owner of The Queen Anne pub in Vauxhall, south London, had been missing for a week, the paper reported.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We are investigating reports of a British national missing in the Dominican Republic.
