From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. A woman's tantrum at an unfortunate Apple employee has become a viral Vine hit after an American TV actress captured the incident on her phone.

The brief video shows an unnamed woman who had walked into the Grove Apple store in Los Angeles and requested new parts for her iPad or iPhone.

She can then be seen shouting at a customer assistant, who had delivered the news that she would need to make an appointment.

"I was told by AppleCare that I could walk in and get the parts", she bellows, before hitting the buggy she is holding.

The brief exchange, taken by American actress Porscha Coleman, was uploaded to her Vine account and shared over 3,000 times.

Alongside the video Ms Coleman added the caption: "This lady is goin OFF in the Apple Store! LOL U don’t have an appointment, lady!"
