Somali militants threaten to hit Kenya

The al-Shabaab militant group threatened Kenya with suicide attacks yesterday, warning that Nairobi's skyscrapers would be destroyed and its tourism industry ruined.

Hundreds of Kenyan troops backed by tanks and artillery poured into Somalia at the weekend. Four Westerners have been kidnapped near the Somali border in the past month. AP
