Rome - The Oscar-winning American actor Martin Balsam, 76, whose film credits include On the Waterfront, Psycho and Breakfast at Tiffany's, was found dead in a Rome hotel room. Balsam, who acted in dozens of films since the 1940s, won an Academy Award in 1964 for best supporting actor for his role in the film 1,000 Clowns. Reuter
