TEN SPENDING: The Government spent pounds 292,000 on 'new works, furniture and fittings in the state rooms, on the catering facilities, and in the offices and other rooms' at 10 Downing Street between April 1991 and March 1993, the Prime Minister told Tony Banks, Labour MP for Newham North-West.
