Your support makes all the difference.The Right Rev Christopher Mayfield, 57, is to be the new Bishop of Manchester, the Prime Minister announced. He will take over from the Right Rev Stanley Booth-Clibborn, 68, who retired in November after more than 15 years in office.
The bishop, currently Bishop Suffragan of Wolverhampton, will join the diocese after Easter. He is a supporter of the ordination of women.
