A man has been stabbed outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Bromley, according to reports.

Police said they did not know how serious the man's injuries were to the but pictures of the scene showed a man with his head heavily bandaged after the attack, according to the Evening Standard.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called Bromley High Street at approximately 11.20 to reports of a stabbing.

“London Ambulance Service was called to the scene… a man in his 40s was taken to a south London hospital. His condition is unknown.

They added: "One man was arrested by police after he was detained by members of the public at the scene."

The suspect is currently in custody at south London police station.

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 11.23am today to reports of an assault on High Street in Bromley.

"We sent a number of resources to the scene including an incident officer.

"We treated a man reported to be in his thirties…he was taken as a priority to hospital."
