River too high for clubber search

Police divers today called off a search of a river in the hunt for a nightclubber who went missing 10 days ago.

Casper Flagg, 28, was last seen leaving Moles nightclub in Bath on Saturday November 28.

Police divers began searching the River Avon on Monday but had to abandon their efforts as water levels were too high.

They were due to resume today but heavy rain meant the water is still at a dangerous level.

Avon and Somerset Police said they hoped divers would be able to begin their search again tomorrow.

Mr Flagg, who lives in Radstock, left the club at around 2.30am and was then seen in Milsom Street but was captured on CCTV at around 4.55am in James Street West.

He had planned to stay with a friend that night and did not have keys, a mobile phone or a debit card with him.

Police have since found his car in Green Park Mews, where he had parked it on Saturday.

Mr Flagg's friends have launched an internet campaign to find him, attracting 24,000 members to a Facebook page and including a YouTube video.

Mr Flagg graduated from Bath Spa University in 2006 with a degree in graphic design and worked as a playground equipment designer for Playforce in Melksham, Wiltshire.

He lived with his parents, Derek and Marian, who said: "If anyone knows of Casper's whereabouts or saw him on Saturday night, please contact the police.

"Even if you think the information you have is insignificant, we want to know he is safe.

"All of your friends are also really worried. We love you loads, please come home."
