The Crown Prince of Dubai and his father, the ruler of Dubai, were seen riding the London Underground during a visit to the capital, despite being worth over $10bn.

Dubai Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, who is an enthusiastic user of social media, took a selfie of himself and his father riding the Tube on Monday, posting it to his 1.85 million Twitter followers.

Both the prince and his father, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who are often seen wearing suits or traditional dress, were dressed in jeans and T-shirts for the journey.

A discreet entourage wearing plain clothes can be seen standing nearby in photos posted to social media, though the prince and his father appear to be perfectly content.

Instagram debunked

The Dubai royal family own several properties in the UK, including the Longcross Estate in Surrey, said to be worth over £70m.
