Two arrested after Nicole Falkingham, the wife of a millionaire property developer, is found dead in the back of a car
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after the wife of a millionaire businessman was found frozen to death in the back seat of a car outside a suspected cannabis farm in Otterspool, Liverpool.
Provisional post mortem results showed Nicole Falkingham, who was married to property developer Jonathan Falkingham, died of hypothermia and alcohol poisoning. A man and a woman have been bailed.
Nicole Falkingham, 41, was found in a car in Otterspool, south Liverpool, on Friday morning.
It is feared she may have died from hypothermia after spending the night in the back of the vehicle in sub-zero temperatures.
Her body was discovered when Merseyside Police were called to Eastwood, near St Michael's railway station in Liverpool, just after 10am on Friday.
When they arrived police also found a cannabis factory with more than 100 plants.
A post mortem has taken place, but results are being withheld pending toxicology investigations and blood tests.
Mrs Falkingham was married to 50-year old architect and property tycoon Jonathan Falkingham, Chief Executive of Manchester-based Urban Splash.
According to reports the couple were estranged at the time of her death.
Tributes were today paid to Mrs Falkingham, who friends described as 'beautiful inside and out'.
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: "Merseyside Police is investigating the unexplained death of a woman following the discovery of a body in a car on Friday, 25 January.
"Officers were called to Eastwood, in Otterspool, just after 10am and Nicole Falkingham, 41, from Allerton was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
"A Home Office post mortem has been carried out to establish the cause of death and the results are being held pending toxicology reports."
