A champion runner has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed at a stadium in Birmingham.
Lauren Jeska, 41, of Wesley Terrace, Machynlleth, Powys, has also been charged with wounding and possession of a bladed article.
She is due to appear in Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Police were called to the Alexander Stadium on Tuesday morning following reports of a stabbing.
The victim, a 51-year-old man, is in a stable condition in hospital.
Ms Jeska was a fell running champion, winning the national championships three years in a row between 2010 and 2012.
She also won the British championship in 2012.
She has participated in numerous running events and ranked in the top ten women runners in the country in several categories on different occasions.
