Three arrested over attack on man

A man was fighting for life today after being attacked, police said.

The 35-year-old victim is in "critical" condition with head injuries at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, Kent, after allegedly being assaulted in the town's Balmoral Road, a spokeswoman said.

Three men, aged 18, 19 and 21, are under arrest, she added.

The road remains closed while police carry out their investigations and motorists are being advised to find an alternative route, she said.
