A sex abuser has been jailed after assaulting a girl with a brush while his friend live-streamed it to Snapchat.

Jordan Binnie has been sentenced to 12 months in prison while Fraser Anderson was given a community payback order and 225 hours of unpaid work.

The 19-year-old girl was asleep throughout the assault, a court heard, and awoke the next morning to find the video was circulating on the social media platform.

Falkirk Sheriff Court in Scotland heard Binnie and Anderson were drinking all day on 27 June, 2015, and continued at a party in Raploch, Stirling, according to the Daily Record.

Binnie and Anderson, 22, were left with the victim, and when she “put her feet up” and fell asleep on the sofa, unemployed Binnie assaulted her with the brush.

A friend told her what had happened the next morning.

Sheriff John Mundy told them: “I regard this as a despicable act on the part of both of you.”

Binnie, of Cornton, Stirling, was placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years after pleading guilty to sexual assault at the court on 26 January.

Anderson, a carpet fitter also from Cornton, admitted committing a breach of the peace by uploading the mobile phone footage.
