Two men have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the face with a pair a pliers, police said.

Officers said a man, in his 20s, was found with stab injuries in Parkway, Camden, at around 7.30pm on Sunday night and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It follows reports of an altercation outside a grocer's shop in north west London which is thought to have started inside the store and spilled out into the street.

Two men, aged 28 and 29, were arrested in Parkway and taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries before being taken to a north London police station, detectives said.

Both men have been released under investigation pending inquiries.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

DC Dominic Brameld said: “There were lots of people in the area at the time of this incident and we understand some of the witnesses may have filmed the altercation on their mobile phones.

“We would urge anyone with footage to pass this on to the police so we can piece together what happened on Sunday evening.”
