Police have arrested a man as part of investigations into claims Pippa Middleton's iCloud account has been hacked.

Scotland Yard said a 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the case.

The arrest took place at an arrest in Northamptonshire.

More than 3,000 personal photos are understood to have been taken from the Duchess of Cambridge's account. Pictures of Royal family members including Kate Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte are reported to be amoung them.

Ms Middleton's legal representatives warned a hacker had approached a number of publications offering sale of the images for financial reward.

Ms Middleton, 33, is an author and columnist. She has penned a number of party planning and cookery books including 'Celebrate' and 'Heartfelt'.

She and her fiance James Matthews have asked for their privacy to be respected in light of the news.

In July she announced her engagement to Mr Matthews, a hedge fund manager. They are expected to marry next year.
