A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder after a mass city centre brawl.

Police were called to John Dalton Street in Manchester at about 2.50am on Saturday to reports of fighting that had began earlier in the Suburbia nightclub.

A 24-year-old man, who has not been named, was treated for stab wounds to his neck at the scene and later died from his injuries.

Several other people were taken to hospital, including a man who had also been stabbed and two women, aged 19 and 21, who were left unconscious after being punched.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Dorian Graham, 29, of Hamilton Grove, Old Trafford, has been charged with the murder of a 24-year-old man and attempted murder of another man.

“He is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today.”
