Man's body found on grass verge

The death of a man whose body was found on a grass verge was being treated as suspicious, police said today.

West Midlands Police were alerted to the find at about 6.50am after a member of the public found the body beside Vale Road in Darby End, Dudley.

A spokesman said a post-mortem had yet to take place, but the death was being classed as suspicious.

Forensics officers were at the scene and inquiries are under way into the circumstances of the death, and the identity of the deceased, the spokesman added
