Man charged over internet grooming
A man has been charged in connection with grooming a 14-year-old girl over the internet after he was arrested in an undercover police sting.
Alexander Taylor, 33, of Chapman Street, Bolton, has been charged with meeting a 14-year-old girl following internet sexual grooming.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said Taylor was arrested after detectives posed as a 14-year-old girl on the internet.
Taylor is also charged with causing or inciting a girl aged 14 to engage in sexual activity, six counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 14 and attempting to meet a girl following sexual grooming.
He is due before Bolton Magistrates' Court on January 10.
The charges follow an investigation by Greater Manchester Police's Sexual Crime Unit.
