Kosovan in court over fatal shootings

A Kosovan man will appear in court today charged with shooting two men dead and wounding another.

Hajdar Kasumaj, 50, of Palmers Green in north London, is accused of killing Nezir Golaj, 45, and Osman Grbic, 58, in the capital.

He is also charged with the attempted murder of a 43-year-old man during another shooting.

Mr Golaj was shot "multiple" times after getting in his van in Cricklewood, north London, last Thursday morning, while Mr Grbic was found shot dead in his flat in East Ham, east London, the next day.

The other injured man received a gunshot wound on Friday evening in north London, but was discharged from hospital after some treatment.

Kasumaj will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court.

His is also charged with three counts of possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of a short prohibited weapon (a 9mm handgun), and possession of a prohibited accessory (a silencer).
