Wormwood Scrubs: CCTV catches man smuggling stash including McMuffin, Kinder Surprise egg and drugs into prison using string over wall
Karl Jensen was sentenced for trying to smuggle drugs, alcohol, a knife and mobile phones into Wormwood Scrubs prison in London.
CCTV shows the moment a man attempted to smuggle various items into Wormwoods Scrubs prison, including drugs, alcohol, a knife, a smartwatch and a McDonald's McMuffin.
Footage shows Karl Jensen, 27, attaching a black bag to a fishing line before it and its contents are whisked over the fence.
Jensen pleaded guilty to seven charges including conspiracy to supply a class A drug and three counts of conveying an article into prison.
After Wormwood Scrubs staff spotted a man and a woman in the road adjacent to the prison, they saw Jensen tie the bag on CCTV before it was pulled into a cell.
The bag was found inside the London prison containing several banned items, including a five-inch blade.
Jensen's girlfriend, Lisa Mary Hutchinson, 26, was also sentenced after pleading guilty to allowing her premises to be used for the supply of class A and class B drugs.
She was sentenced to a 12-month community order during the hearing at Isleworth Crown Court.
Detective Constable Andy Griffin said:"Jensen and Hutchinson tried to smuggle prohibited items including drugs, alcohol and a knife inside a prison; the combination could have been deadly.
"Thankfully vigilant prison staff foiled the plot and they were quickly arrested.
"This case serves as a strong reminder of the very serious consequences of smuggling prohibited goods into a prison."
