A 16th suspect was arrested today over the brutal machete murder of mother-of-two Geeta Aulakh.

Officers arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to murder during a raid in east London.

Mrs Aulakh, 28, died in November last year after being found bleeding in Braund Avenue, Greenford, west London.

The Sunrise Radio receptionist had been savagely attacked and suffered terrible injuries including a severed hand.

Three men, including her estranged husband Harpreet Aulakh, 31, have been charged with murder. They deny the offence.

A trial is expected to take place before a High Court judge at the Old Bailey on October 18.
