Ann Todd, of London W8, the actress, left estate valued at pounds 152,107 net. She left pounds 2,000 to the Unity School of Christianity, and her 'Margot Fonteyn ballet shoes' to the Theatre Museum, Covent Garden.

Mr Derrick Newton Riley, of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, the aerial archaeologist, left estate valued at pounds 287,593 net.

Lord Craigton, of Wraysbury, Berkshire, former Conservative MP for the Govan and Craigton divisions of Glasgow, and former chairman, United Biscuits, left estate valued at pounds 79,720 net. He let pounds 2,000 each to the World Wildlife Fund, the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust, Fauna and Flora Preservation Society, and the Royal Society of Arts (for the Environment Committee), and pounds 250 each to Wraysbury Parish Church, the Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, and Wraysbury Horticultural Society.

The Hon Charles John Alan Maude, the graphic and stage designer, left estate valued at pounds 121,398 net.

Mr Benson Coleman, of Henfield, West Sussex, left estate valued at pounds 2,029,844 net.

Mr Thurston John Hogarth, of Tring, Hertfordshire, left estate valued at pounds 1,386,399 net.

Janet Jones, of Prenton, Merseyside, left estate valued at pounds 1,275,322 net.

Mr Peter David Brown, of London EC2, left estate valued at pounds 2,156,302 net.

Mrs Geraldine Hortense Jessie Apthorpe, of Herne Bay, Kent, left estate valued at pounds 1,047,082 net.

Mrs Gillian Kimball, of Budleigh Salterton, Devon, left estate valued at pounds 1,483,868 net. After personal bequests of pounds 101,550 and effects, she left pounds 5,000 to the Airborne Forces Security Fund, Aldershot; pounds 4,000 to the Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth, provided her donkey Polly was alive at her death, for her care; pounds 1,000 each to St Peter's Church, Budleigh Salterton, Budleigh Salterton Hospicare, Royal Commonwealth Society for the Blind, Endeavour Trust, League of Friends of Budleigh Salterton Hospital, St Loyes College, Exeter; pounds 500 to the Museum, Fairlynch, Budleigh Salterton; and the residue equally between the RSPCA, Exeter Branch, PDSA, Blue Cross, National Canine Defence League, Brooke Hospital for Animals, National Childrens Home, Salvation Army, Social Care Unit of St Martin's-in-the-Fields, London WC2.

Mr Herbert Clarke Alden, of Torquay, Devon, left estate valued at pounds 385,220 net. After personal bequests of pounds 51,000, he left the residue equally between the National Westminster Bank Staff Foundation, British Red Cross Society, St John Ambulance Brigade and the RNLI.

Josephine Kehoe, of London NW6, left estate valued at pounds 833,620 net. She left her entire estate to the British Heart Foundation.
