After personal bequests of pounds 47,000, two oil paintings and a Chinese carpet, she left pounds 10,000 to St Mary's Church, Rawtenstall, pounds 1,000 to the First Church of the Nazarene, Bolton and the residue to the Seedfield Trust, Bury, 'to be used only for preaching the word of the Lord'.
