Shia LaBeouf delivers intense motivational speech for his latest project #INTRODUCTIONS

The actor collaborated with art students at Central Saint Martins in London

Not content with attending a film premier whilst wearing a paper hat, running around a museum in Amsterdam 144 times or live-streaming his heartbeat for a metamodern performance art piece, Shia LaBeouf has now delivered arguably one of the most intense motivational speeches ever to grace the internet in his new project, #INTRODUCTIONS.

The Nymphomaniac actor collaborated with fine art undergraduate students at Central Saint Martins in London for their 2015 degree show by making 36 30-second films starring himself performing in front of a green screen.

#INTRODUCTIONS is the latest chapter in LaBeouf's ongoing endeavour with artists Luke Turner and Nastja Säde Rönkkö and introduces the work of students in the graduating class.

The students were invited to send a piece of text to introduce their work and fill the green screen with whatever background they deemed appropriate, according to Dazed.

LaBeouf’s impassioned speech for one film, produced by Central Saint Martins student Joshua Parker, involved him shouting at the camera: “Do it! Just do it! Don’t let your dreams be dreams. Yesterday, you said tomorrow. So just do it!”

In separate clips, he also read excerpts from Charles Bukowski's poem The Laughing Heart, recounted stories and played the parts of two people in one conversation, asking questions such as: “Do you think we could fall in love on the internet?” before spinning around on a stool and responding, “no … because it wouldn’t be love, it would just be porn.”

One particularly memorable clip saw LaBeouf repeatedly make “ooohmn” sounds while stood in front of a block of butter.

LaBeouf worked with Turner and Rönkkö for his live installation, #IAMSORRY. The project saw LaBeouf sat in a Los Angeles gallery with a paper bag over his head bearing the words “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE” across it, while members of the public queued up to interact with him.
