'I'm just like a sheep when it comes to having opinions'
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

If I weren't talking to you right now I'd be...
Cleaning up my kitchen, including the half a chicken in a pot that I'd planned to make domestic goddess-style stock out of. But so far it's just a rotting old half chicken in a smelly pot.
A common misperception of me is...
That I have strong opinions. I'm a sheep when it comes to opinions, I will change my mind and jump on the bandwagon.
I am not a politician but...
Surely the battery hen-style cramming of the Central line at rush hour goes against our basic human rights?
I'm good at...
Listening. I can listen to a stranger banging on about someone else's love life for an obscene amount of time.
I'm very bad at...
Not falling over. I fall over constantly. I fell over at the bar in Home House last weekend. People were openly laughing. I just crumpled to the floor - no warning, no explanation. I'm just clumsy and not observant. I must admit I was drunk that particular night though.
You know me as a comedienne but in truer life I would have been...
Probably just a big loser.
The best age to be is...
I'd say that it's pretty good to be about two and a half years old. Or five. I'd say that five's a good laugh.
