Obituary: Ian MacQueen
Ian MacQueen, doctor, died, aged 82. As Medical Health Officer in Aberdeen, he combated an outbreak of typhoid in the city in 1964. Promoted contraceptive counselling for teenagers - controversial in the early Sixties - and Aberdeen was the first city to introduce the service. His books include Health Education for Family Planning (1969) and Organisation of Health Education (1974).
