Obituary: Col Sir Richard Martin-Bird

Col Sir Richard Martin-Bird, soldier, died 3 December, aged 82. Served with the 8th (Ardwick) Battalion, The Manchester Regiment (TA) 1936-53, firstly as Signals Officer and Company Commander during the war and then Lieutenant-Colonel from 1947. CBE 1971. Kt 1975.
