Lady Gaga says cocaine is "the devil".

The 'Edge of Glory' singer once said she was "freaked out" and "petrified" by how much she used the drug and warned her fans against it, claiming she only ever took it because she was lonely, and now regrets it.

She told radio DJ Howard Stern on New York station Z100: "To any little sweethearts that are listening - don't touch cocaine, it's the devil.

"I think that I was lonely and there was something about the drug that made me feel like I had a friend. And I regret every line that I ever did.

"Whatever my vagina whispers to me, I say yes - inspiration, it doesn't come all the time."

Gaga was a little more shy about her love life, however, fending off questions as to whether barman Luc Carl is still her boyfriend.

She said: "What boyfriend? - Who's Jean Luc?" Before somewhat cryptically adding: "I got laid last night - the guys who are here are my best friends in the whole world.

"You're talking about Luc Carl, he's been my best friend since I was 19."

She also joked: "It's hard to find a boyfriend who doesn't mind a good tuck," making reference to an old story that implied she was a hermaphrodite.
