The Everybody In Love quartet drew a crowd of more than 800 who queued to see them as they plugged their new book in central London.

The group were launching Just Between Us: Our Private Diary at Selfridges.

CATWALK QUEEN

Coleen Rooney appears as a fashion authority figure in her first ad fronting a £4.5 million campaign for retailer Littlewoods.com.

The ad features Mrs Rooney overseeing recruits learning to carry a handbag, polish their shoes and strut the catwalk.

It ends with Rooney conducting a "passing-out parade" to the tune of Nancy Sinatra's These Boots Are Made for Walkin'.

TONY'S FAMOUS FRIENDS

A host of celebrities from footballers to Hollywood stars make appearances in the pages of Tony Blair's memoirs.

The former prime minister lavishes praise on his famous acquaintances, describing Diana, Princess of Wales as "extraordinarily captivating" and film director Lord Attenborough as "just a superlative human being".

David Beckham was a "complete pro" in supporting London's bid for the 2012 Olympics, Kevin Spacey was a "really fun guy" at Labour's 2002 autumn party conference, while U2 frontman and anti-poverty campaigner Bono is "great with people, very smart and an inspirational speaker".

DOUGLAS' CANCER BATTLE

Actor Michael Douglas said he had begun treatment for throat cancer and his odds of recovery were high.

In an appearance on David Letterman's Late Show, Douglas, 65, said he faced an "eight-week struggle" that included radiation and chemotherapy.

But the Oscar-winning Wall Street star, who is married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, said he had at least an 80% chance of recovery.

PRINCE CHARLES BAFFLED

The Prince of Wales was baffled by John Prescott's habit of balancing a teacup and saucer on his stomach, Tony Blair reveals in his memoirs.

The ex-premier also discloses that he found the incident when the then deputy prime minister thumped a voter in the 2001 election campaign "extraordinarily funny".

Mr Blair also heaps praise on John, now Lord, Prescott, saying he was lucky to have him as a deputy.

BOOK CLUB

Richard and Judy opened a new chapter for their Book Club as they chose a new stack of authors who are destined to benefit from their magic touch.

The couple have teamed up with retailer WH Smith, after ending their TV slot for the club, with eight authors set to receive a boost.

Their choices - to be promoted in stores nationwide - will be championed in the campaign, and they have personally reviewed each of the books. There will also be interviews with the authors in a dedicated area of the company's website.
