My Secret Life: Peter Serafinowicz, Actor and comedian, age 36
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The home I grew up in... Not many people know that Liverpool has a big sign on a hill, much like the one in Hollywood. Our house was behind one of the big "O"s.
The moment that changed me for ever... was when I discovered that I could hear people's thoughts. For years I thought it was a radio on somewhere.
My greatest inspiration... Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. I live my life by its teachings.
If I could change one thing about myself... I'd have slightly shorter hair. Hopefully one day the technology will exist to make my dream come true.
At night I dream of... Last night I dreamt I was eating a huge marshmallow. When I woke up, the massive, duvet-shaped marshmallow (which I'd been using as a duvet) was gone. The police have told me to stop wasting their time. I'm sick of this country.
What I see when I look in the mirror... is the same as anybody else – my own reflection! Surrounded by the floating, moaning heads of my ancestors.
My style icon... Definitely Jeremy Clarkson. I love that "two-sacks-of-potatoes-poured-into-suede-jacket-T-shirt-and-jeans" look he has going on.
My favourite item of clothing... is a T-shirt that says: "My parents went to London and all they got me was this lousy T-shirt, then they had this message printed on the front, which you are reading now!"
You wouldn't know it but I'm very good at... communicating with ladybirds.
You may not know it but I'm no good at ... walking. I just never learnt!
All my money goes on... online poetry. It's so addictive, and so expensive! I must have about 25,000 limericks now, and 8,000 odes. I'll never find the time to recite them all.
If I have time to myself... I like to design new types of pasta. My latest one is willioni, which are kind of like little pasta penises.
I ride... a Harley-Davidson unicycle. I bought it from a Hell's Clown.
My house is... arranged alphabetically, so when you walk in, there's the attic, then the bathroom, then the cold room, and so on until you get to the Zodiac Chamber.
My most valuable possession is... a pocket watch bequeathed to me by my great-grandmother. She gave it to me just before she passed away. It's antique gold and has the inscription "To Peter, may this watch protect you on life's journey." Check eBay for picture and payment options.
My favourite building... is the Post Office Tower in London. I can't wait until it finally launches. I've booked my ticket already!
Movie heaven... for me would have to be watching ET on a super-sized screen with my closest friends, all having an orgy.
A book that changed me... One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Joe Pasquale. It's lighter in tone than the original, and the audio version is a must.
My favourite work of art... is any painting by Salvador Dali. They're so weird!! He must having been smoking some very special "Spanish Cigarettes" when he painted those, if you get my drift!! The shop I can't walk past ... Those ones that sell bear-traps and display them on the street outside.
The best invention ever... I have invented a time machine that travels forward in time, one second every second.
The last album I bought/downloaded... Real answer: Los Angeles by Flying Lotus. Non-real answer: Beyoncé Burps Her Favourite Hits.
In 10 years' time, I hope to ... have finished the answers to this questionnaire.
My greatest regret ... Is that I have no regrets. Wait – that's one regret. Fantastic! But wait – I think that has cancelled itself out now. So now I have no regrets again. Sigh. I wish I had some regrets...
My life in seven words... I am born! I am alive! Dead.
